Since the Covid pandemic began, the Bank has taken various measures and precautions to ensure that Bank staff and customers stay safe. The Bank has also supported various initiatives as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives to support communities such as donation of facemasks, food donation drives to affected families among others during these unprecedented times.
This past week, the Bank donated to the hospital in support of their initiative to equip their ICU and HDU wards to accommodate the increasing demand for critical care service fueled by the Covid pandemic. The hospital has carried out various initiatives such as raising awareness and sensitization on Covid-19 safety measures & precautions, and outreach programme to administer vaccines to the people in Kiirua.
The hospital has been operating with 2 ICU and 1 HDU beds since 2016. With the support of donors, the hospital has been able to put up a new ICU block, are nearly completing the construction of an oxygen plant and are now raising funds to equip it with ICU and HDU beds.
“I have been the Relationship Manager for St. Theresa Hospital for the last 5 years and they are one of my most loyal customers. They have also sent me many referrals due to our cordial relationship. They are very easy to work with and I am proud to be associated with them seeing the impact they are making in the community especially during the pandemic period,” said James Muriithi of Meru Branch.
