Inter-Bank Transfers
– Banks are able to lend and borrow from each other through this market through the on-line interbank payment system facilitated by Central Bank of Kenya (RTGS).
Treasury Bonds
These are long term Government securities issued for period of one year and above. The minimum investment is Kes. 50,000.00 and in multiples of Kes. 50,000 thereafter. These are fixed income instruments. We invest funds into these instruments on customer’s behalf at a commission. Treasury Bonds are listed and traded i.e. can be sold and bought in the Nairobi stock exchange (NSE), which is also referred to as the secondary market.
